This man-made waterfall is a couple of minutes
walk from where the above picture was taken. Stone walls so typical of New
England are found throughout the Quabbin. Now overgrown with trees, it was once
regularly farmed. The town of Dana and many farms were abandoned to make room
for the reservoir.
